About Jacob Boss

Jacob Boss is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Queen’s University and Managing Editor of the Journal of the American Academy of Religion.

Jacob is the co-founder of the Human Augmentation Research Network. HARN supports scholars researching transhumanism and human augmentation. Jacob is the co-chair of the the Human Enhancement and Transhumanism unit of the American Academy of Religion and serves on the steering committee of the Emerging Technologies Exploratory Group.

Jacob teaches widely, having offered courses in the Department of Religious Studies, the School of Education, the School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering, and the Collins Living-Learning Center at Indiana University Bloomington. He has also taught and worked as an educational consultant for Queen’s University School of Religion. He is writing a monograph on grassroots cybernetics.
